Blown-In Cellulose Attic Insulation

Cellulose insulation is made from recycled newspaper, cardboard and wood fibers. It is grinded into particles and then treated with chemicals to make it fire retardant and pest resistant.

When first applied the Insulation R value will be higher but as time passes the insulation settles. Which leads to drop in R value; therefore, it is always a good idea to check up on your insulation levels on a yearly basis.
